CFC 34

It's not like me to get cards done more than a month ahead of time, but with some motivation from the CAS-ual Fridays blog, I did it!  For the chipboard challenge there, and for one sponsored by Simon Says Stamp at Lily Pad cards, I created not one, but TWO Valentine's cards already.  I used both the punch out ....

and the negative space....

from a Fancy Pants chipboard piece.  Each is painted with acrylics and stamped in black with a Hero Arts background stamp.  Quick, easy, and done early- gotta' love that!

Happy 40th Susan!

As soon as I saw this brand new image, Wryn- new nest, from Tiddly Inks I thought of a dear friend with a birthday soon.  I love the way Wryn looks colored with Prismacolors- can't wait to see how see dresses up in Copics.  Following the latest wonderful sketch from Deconstructed Jen, I created this card...

TGF Blog Hop

I'm so excited to be part of the 3rd annual Greeting Farm customer blog hop today.  If you did not come from a TGF link, be sure to catch the beginning here to see all the wonderful creations using amazing Greeting Farm images.  I chose to create a holiday ornament using their Chibi Alaska digital image.
I started with a clear glass ball ornament, removed the hanger top, drizzled a bit of floor wax into it and swirled it around, covering the insides completely, and drained out all excess. Then I sprinkled in some lime green extra fine glitter and shook it up to cover the whole inside surface. I tapped the excess out (unfortunately all over my floor and kitchen counter because I sneezed at the wrong time...) and replaced the hanger. To finish, I attached some plastic snowflake buttons and a Chibi Alaska image colored with Copics and highlighted with glitter. Then I added a printed ribbon bow and thin red ribbon as a hanger.  She is definately my favorite new ornament this year.
Thanks for joining in the hop today. Be sure to leave a comment on the TGF blog for a chance to win. In addition to the two Grand Prizes that will be drawn for the participants' creations, a random hopper will ALSO win the ENTIRE upcoming January Release! That's 6 sets in all- a HUGE prize...and the only way to win is by participating in the blog hop here!

TPE 128

I love the digital images created by Lori Boyd here. and always am inspired by the creations of her wonderful design team. I frequently check out her blog or "pink elephant challenge" for inspiration.
So, when I needed to create a small Christmas gift for a friend, I decided to use her images and participate in one of the challenges for motivation. This ornament was created with TPE 128: snowflake and sparkle in mind. Although the photo doesn't show it well (quality color photos are hard to take inside at midnight!!!), there is a lot of glitter and sparkle in the ornament itself, and also added to the images.
